FontAgent® lets you search for fonts by their names, properties and metadata using its Smart Search facility.

What is a Smart Search?

Smart Search allows you specify complex search with multiple, specific criteria. It is accessible from two places in FontAgent:

• When you click the magnifying glass in the Search field
• When you define a Smart Set

To start a Smart Search, click the magnifying glass icon in the Search field at the top of the center column and FontAgent displays the Smart Search dialog.

Specifying Smart Search Criteria

To specify the terms of your Smart Search, follow these steps:

To group your search results By Family or By Foundry, click the corresponding checkbox at the top of the search dialog. Click Save and FontAgent will display the results of your Smart Search in the Table or List View.

• If you have more than one search rule, select if you want fonts to match any or all of your rules.
• Enter your first rule by using the pull-down menus to select an attribute, operator and value.
• Click the + and – buttons at the right of each rule to add or remove other rules.

You can search any combination of the following fields in your Smart Search.
