The Properties Sidebar appears in the right column of FontAgent.® It displays the properties and metadata for the currently selected font or set, as described below.
To show and hide the Properties Sidebar, click the icon at the far-right of the FontAgent Toolbar. To change the size of the Sidebar, drag the position of its left margin.
Font Tab Properties
Font Rating
Your rating for the font on a five-star scale. Click a star to change the rating.
Font Name
The name of the font as specified in the font file.
Font Files
The name of the macOS file containing the font.
Type
The format of the font file and the type of outline it contains.
Family
The font family name specified by the font’s designer.
Foundry
The foundry or publisher of the font specified in the font file.
Last Modified
The timestamp of the last time the font file was modified.
Version
The version number of the font specified by the font’s designer.
Copyright
Copyright information claimed specified by the font’s designer or foundry.
Trademark
Trademark claims made by the font’s designer or foundry.
Description
Optional descriptive information provided by the font’s designer or foundry.
Designer
The designer of the font as specified in the font file.
URL
The web URL specified by the font foundry for more information on the font.
Size
The size of the file in bytes.
Path
The path showing where the font file is stored in the FontAgent font archive. To open the folder in the file system containing the font file, click the right-arrow button below the path name.
Sets
Lists the sets containing the selected font.
Style
The style of the font, e.g. Roman, Italic, Light, Medium, Bold, Black, Heavy.
Proportion
A numeric value provided by the font designer to describe the width of the characters in the font style. Regular widths have a zero value. Wider, extended styles have positive values, and compressed styles have negative values.
Weight
A numeric value provided by the font designer to describe the thickness of the stroke widths of the font style. Regular and roman styles have a value of zero, heavier strokes have positive values, and thinner strokes have negative values.
Slant
A numeric value provided by the font designer to describe the slant of the font style. Regular styles have a zero value, italic styles that lean to the right have a positive value, and styles that lean left have a negative value.
Traits
Summary characteristics of the selected font.
Active
If the font is active, this field displays YES.
Auto-Activated
If the font has been auto-activated by an application, this field displays YES.
Count
The number of times the font has been activated.
Set Tab Properties
Set Name
The name of the currently selected set.
Font Count
The number of fonts in the currently selected set.
Last Modified
The timestamp of the last time that changes were made to the currently selected set.
Size
The size of the currently selected set, including the font files it contains.
Active
The number of fonts contained in the set that are currently activated.
Startup Set
Checkbox is checked if the currently selected set is a startup set.
