Adobe gives you the option of licensing their fonts through subscription services. Some of these services make the fonts available in standard file system locations, some in proprietary locations and others in hidden locations. Each of these services has its own font activation software that runs independent of macOS and FontAgent. FontAgent is designed to work with these external services in the ways described below.
Adobe Fonts
Adobe Fonts is a subscription font service that is also included in Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions. FontAgent automatically detects and displays fonts you have activated in Adobe Fonts as a System Set. You can preview Adobe Fonts, assign them to sets, and manage them just like other fonts in your FontAgent catalog—but Adobe requires you to control their activation from within their Adobe Fonts application.
Other Subscription Services
Fonts activated by subscription services that store their fonts in standard system locations and file format appear in the All Fonts set under Managed Fonts in the Sets Sidebar. You can preview and manage them like other fonts in your FontAgent catalog.
